Description: This course consists of 2 webinars that focus on how to identify and repair therapeutic alliance ruptures.

Alliance Ruptures and Repairs Part 1: In the first webinar Dr Lynch teaches you what characterizes a strong therapeutic alliance, when alliance ruptures typically occur, and how to recognize them. This module will focus on how to prevent and repair a therapeutic alliance rupture that may lead to a potential client dropout. Webinar Duration: 1 hour 3 minutes

Alliance Ruptures and Repairs Part 2: In the second webinar Dr Lynch teaches you how to recognize in-session alliance ruptures and how to use the six steps of the alliance rupture repairs protocol. Webinar Duration: 1 hour 32 minutes

Learning Objectives

At the end of this module, you will be able to:

  1. List the three characteristics of a strong therapeutic alliance
  2. Identify in-session alliance ruptures
  3. Use the six steps of the alliance rupture repairs protocol to repair a potential therapeutic alliance rupture
