Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between the RO DBT Intensive Training and the RO DBT Blended Learning programme?

    •  The content in an Intensive training and the 3 levels of the Blended Learning programme is the same; the difference is the way in which the material is delivered. The Intensive training consists of 2 x 5 days in-person workshops, while the Blended Learning programme consists of on-demand webinars (Levels 1 and 2) and one 3-day workshop (Level 3). Both types of training provide you with the skills to practice RO DBT as a clinician and will result in an RO DBT Clinician Certificate.

  • Is Level 1 of the Blended Learning programme the same as a one-day introductory training?

    • No, these are not the same. Level 1 contains more in-depth teaching and is the equivalent of the first day or so of the Intensive training, whereas a one-day introductory training is designed to give attendees an idea of what RO DBT is and who it is for.

  • I have attended a one-day introductory training in RO DBT. Should I still complete Level 1?

    • Yes, you should still complete Level 1 of the online training even if you have attended an introductory training. There may be some overlap, but the teaching will be much more detailed in Level 1, plus there will be quiz questions to test your knowledge.

  • For how long will the Level 2 'Special Launch Price' of $1000 be valid?

    •  The Special Launch price for Level 2 will be available for as long as it takes us to complete the course materials, likely until Fall 2021. After this date the price will probably go up to $1500. but this may be more, depending on how many additional modules we will be creating.

  • How much will Level 3 cost? 

    • We don't know the exact price yet because we are still developing the materials, but we estimate Level 3 to cost $800-1000.

  • When and where will the Level 3 training workshops be held?

    • We are waiting for the COVID restrictions to be lifted before organizing any in person Level 3 workshops. Our hope is to be able to offer these workshops where a majority of delegates are geographically located. For example, if there are at least 15-20 people who are doing L2 located in 'Country or State Y', we will aim to organize a L3 training there.

  • Will Level 3 also be offered in an online format?

    • Yes, we are currently developing an online version of L3, which we expect to become available in the Winter of 2021.

  • For how long will I have access to the online courses?

    • For Level 1 and Level 2 you will keep indefinite access to all materials you have already bought. For all other courses the length of access will be specified when purchasing the course.

  • Is the Blended Learning programme a certification course?

    • No, not in the sense you may be used to from other treatment modalities such as standard DBT. You will receive a certificate of completion after levels 1, 2 and 3. The three certificates together have the same merit and value as the certificates of attendance for parts 1 and 2 of the intensive training.

  • Is there an RO DBT Certification course?

    • Not yet. We will be developing a more formal certification pathway over the next year or so and will announce this once it’s ready.

  • From which Level can I start seeing clients and offer RO Skills Classes?

    • For Blended Learning (online) we recommend that clinicians start seeing clients and offering skills classes once they have at least completed several parts of Level 2 of the online training, for example Parts 1-5.

    • For Intensive in-person training: after the first week (i.e., Part 1) you can start seeing clients and offer RO skills classes.

  • I can’t find my username or password, how do I access my course?

    • Go to MyRadicallyOpen (top right corner) to go to the login page. If you don’t know your account details, please check your spam or junk mail folder in the first instance, it may be that your login details landed there. If they are not there, you can ask for a password reset using the email address you used to register and purchase the course (again, please check your spam or junk mail folder). If you have not received your username and password or a password reset email, please email support@radicallyopen.net and you will be sent a new password.

  • I have been blocked or locked out from the website

    • This is most likely because an incorrect username or password was entered too often. The blocks are generally only temporary, so you should be able to try again in 30 minutes. If that doesn’t work, please email support@radicallyopen.net

  • I have done the quiz but can’t move to the next module

    • For most quizzes, you have to answer at least 80% of the questions correctly. The website will tell you after you submit your answers whether you passed or not. If you did not pass the quiz you have to take the quiz again until you pass.

    • Tip: you can click ‘View Questions’ after you have submitted your answers to see which questions you answered correctly/incorrectly.

  • I have completed Level 2 Part 1, how can I continue?

    • If you bought the subscription model, you pay in four instalments, with 3 months in between each payment. After each payment, five or six new on-demand webinars will be made available to you. You will continue to have indefinite access to the materials after the 12 months have passed.

    • If you paid for the entire course all at once, you will have access to the parts that are currently available while we are still developing the materials. If you believe you should have access to a certain part that is not in your account, please email roelie@radicallyopen.net

  • I can’t do the quiz

    • You have to watch the entire video first and make sure the video lesson is marked as 'Complete'. If you have done this and you still can’t do the quiz, try refreshing your browser or clear the cache (the method for how to do this differs depending on the browser you use, e.g. Chrome, FireFox, Edge; clearing the cache is not the same as simply refreshing your browser, by the way). If that doesn’t work please email support@radicallyopen.net

  • I can’t see the video, even though I am logged in

    • We have discovered that the Safari browser does not work well with the videos, we advise Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

  • The lesson is not marked as complete even though I have watched the entire video

    • Try marking it complete manually by clicking the orange /grey button.

    • Try refreshing your browser or clear the cache (the method for how to do this differs depending on the browser you use, e.g. Chrome, FireFox, Edge).

    • If neither works please email support@radicallyopen.net

  • I have done the quiz 3 times but can’t move to the next module

    • You have to pass the quiz with at least 80% correct answers. The website allows four attempts. Please email roelie@radicallyopen-blendedlearning.net so we can help you reset your attempts. Tip: you can click ‘View Questions’ after you have submitted your answers to see which questions you answered correctly/incorrectly.

  • My browser seems ‘stuck’, I can’t progress

    • Please try clearing your cache. You can do this via the Settings of your browser. If you don’t know how to clear the cache of your browser you can easily Google this.

    • If you are using Safari, please try using a different browser such as Chrome or Edge

  • Can I upload my Intensive Training certificates to my online account?

    • Yes, you can upload your certificates here: https://radicallyopen-blendedlearning.net/upload-certificate/

  • Do you offer discounts for students, people with disabilities or senior citizens?

    • Yes, we offer a reduced rate for our intensive trainings for students/people with disabilities/senior citizens / US veterans who send proof of their status to support@radicallyopen.net.

    • For our blended learning program we do not offer this at this time. We currently offer the courses at a Special Launch price which is already heavily discounted. Once the price goes up to its normal rate (expected to be $1500-1700 for Level 2 from Spring 2022) we will consider offering certain discounts.

  • Do you offer discounts for lower income or developing countries?

    • Yes, we offer a 20% discount to customers from developing countries according to the International Statistical Institute. The discount will automatically be applied to your cart if your country of residence qualifies.

  • How can I cancel my Level 2 subscription or payment plan before having paid the full amount?

    • If you don't want to continue with the course you can cancel your subscription please email roelie@radicallyopen.net

    • Cancelling your subscription will mean that you won't have completed the course and thus will not receive a certificate with the CE's. You will, however, continue to have access to the modules you have already paid for.
